About R&R Exotics

Hi, I’m Andrew better known as Reptile Roo and I run R&R Exotics, a proudly micro exotic pet shop based in Dover, UK. Operating from my converted garden shed, I specialise in reptiles, amphibians, and other unique creatures.

Being “micro” means I stay small on purpose every animal gets my full attention, every product is hand‑picked or handmade, and every customer gets a personal, one‑to‑one experience. I breed, rescue, and care for each animal myself, and I only stock items I’ve tested in my own setups.

🌱 My Mission

R&R Exotics exists to give misunderstood animals and misunderstood people a safe, welcoming space. I run a small rescue for abandoned and mistreated reptiles, offering them a second chance without judgment. My goal is to show that with grit, care, and community, anyone can build something meaningful, no matter the obstacles.

🧠 A Neurodiverse‑Friendly Community

As an autistic business owner with lived experience of mental health challenges, I know how important it is to feel seen and supported. That’s why R&R Exotics is more than just a shop it’s a community.

I’ve created a dedicated Skool page where reptile keepers of all experience levels can connect, learn, and share. It’s packed with gamified learning, downloadable resources, and a friendly, non‑judgmental vibe that puts education and empathy first.

📚 Education First

I believe good care starts with good knowledge. Through my website, social media, and Skool community, I share care guides, printable checklists, and hands‑on advice to help you give your pets the best life possible. I’m especially passionate about leopard geckos but I love all critters that crawl, climb, and chill.

🛠️ Handmade with Love

Alongside the animals, I offer handmade décor and enclosures crafted from reclaimed materials like scaffold boards. These pieces are designed to be safe, functional, and visually stunning bringing a natural vibe to your pet’s habitat while supporting sustainable practices.

🔭 Looking Ahead

My vision for R&R Exotics is to grow our rescue work, expand the Skool community, and eventually create a dedicated space where ethical care, education, and neurodiverse‑friendly practices thrive. I dream of acquiring land to build a sanctuary not just for animals, but for people who need a place to belong.

Thank you for visiting R&R Exotics. Whether you’re here to shop, learn, or connect, I’m glad you found your way to our little corner of the reptile world.
